This multi-unit development addresses the critical need in Victoria to expand the stock of mid-sized housing solutions, known as the missing middle. This wood frame structure with 6 family-sized units includes a large rear yard, encouraging neighbours to form a community and for children to play. While parking was included with the project, emphasis was placed on alternate transportation initiatives. The building leverages its proximity to the E+N Pedestrian and Bike Trail and features a large bike room with space for cargo bikes to support families. The building anticipated, and successfully achieved, Step 3 of BC’s Energy Step Code.
