Recently, firm founder, Christine Lintott was invited to write an article in the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation’s quarterly magazine, under the theme of nature, design, and well-being, transformation through inspiration. In the article, Christine focuses on the firm’s 2022 completed Basecamp project for the organization Power To Be. This non-profit organization seeks to provide inclusive, nature-based experiences for individuals facing various barriers. The project, built on a decommissioned golf course, emphasizes ecological and cultural harmony, integrating biophilic and regenerative design principles. Key features include barrier-free accessibility, a geothermal comfort system, and a solar array for energy production. The project is pursuing Petal Certification for the Living Building Challenge, including achieving the imperatives under place, water, energy, health and happiness, equity, and beauty, while fostering a deep connection between the built environment and its natural surroundings.
