Blending seamlessly from the gentle oceanfront cove this home is nestled into, the surrounding elements are incorporated in it’s design throughout. From the sweeping curved roofline to the corten steel and yellow cedar cladding and stone and natural materials inside this home flows from inside to out with ease while also maintaining the native vegetation on the site. Deeply embedded into the design was a care and attention to craftsmanship. Stone aggregate used throughout was sourced locally, and fir selected for the ceilings was milled nearby on Vancouver Island. Environmental sensitivity was also a key component of the waterfront home, with heat being provided entirely by renewable energy.
